Are you a fully acoustic band, or do you require a PA system and power supply?

Carribe is a 100% authentic, live acoustic steel band. We do not use synthetic backing tracks or require any power outlets. Because our traditional steel drums naturally produce a rich, resonant sound, we can comfortably entertain up to 200 guests completely unplugged. This makes us the perfect choice for historic venues with strict noise limitations, outdoor garden parties, or remote beach locations.

How long does it take the band to set up? Because we are fully acoustic and do not require complex wiring or soundchecks, our setup time is exceptionally fast. We can be entirely set up, in position, and ready to perform within 15 minutes of arriving at your venue.

What parts of a wedding day are best suited for a steel band? A steel band is the ultimate “atmosphere builder.” We are most frequently booked to provide an uplifting, joyful soundtrack during the daytime transitions, specifically as guests arrive at the ceremony, during the post-vow photographs, and throughout the afternoon drinks reception. While we do not typically provide late-night, after-dinner dance music, our tropical rhythms are the perfect bridge to keep guests entertained and energised before your evening reception begins.

How long do you perform for? We tailor our performance times entirely to the flow of your event. A standard booking usually consists of either 2 x 45-minute sets, 3 x 30-minute sets, or 4 x 30-minute sets. However, because every corporate launch and wedding timeline is unique, we are highly flexible and will work closely with your event coordinator to ensure the music aligns perfectly with your schedule.

Do you travel outside of London? Yes. While our booking operations and management team are headquartered in the West End, Carribe regularly travels across the UK for festivals, corporate events, and private bookings. We are also available for international and destination events upon request.
